Staff & Volunteers

Scottish Fair Trade Forum Director - Betsy Reed

Betsy  took up her role as the first member of staff for the Scottish Fair Trade Forum in August 2007. Since then she has facilitated and led the growth and development of the Forum. During her first 18 months in this role, Betsy has overseen the evolution of the Forum from a concept with a working group to a legally-constituted charity with a Board of 14, staff and a team of skilled, regular volunteers.

Betsy's job is certainly never boring, and she looks forward to continuing to lead the Forum's work, supporting ongoing Fair Trade activity around Scotland as it works to become a Fair Trade Nation. She continues to develop the work of the Forum and her own role!

You can read more about Betsy's view on her role here.

 Administrator - Sarah McKenna

Sarah joined the Scottish Fair Trade Forum in January 2009 and has been a fantastic addition to our staff. You may know her as the friendly Northern Irish/Australian (!) voice on the other end of the phone, keeping the office running smoothly and helping Betsy support our amazing team of volunteers, many of whom are based in our office.

Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 Coordinator - Alex Duran

Alex is a Vodafone Foundation World of Difference grant Winner. This funding has allowed the SFTF to employ him to coordinate our Fairtrade Fortnight producer tour of Scotland from 22 Feburary-9March 2010. Alex is currently working on his International Studies degree through the Open University, is a native speaker of both Spanish and English and claims to be the meanest cheesecake baker this side of the Border.
